Mercedeh Andalibi joins the Exilex team with more than a decade of experience in the public sector.
Mercedeh immigrated to Canada with her parents and brother in 2006. Making sense of this world and figuring out what life she wanted was quite challenging but, Mercedeh’s passion for Social Sciences and Law drew her towards the field in the very begining. Mercedeh graduated with a Masters Degree in Public Policy, Administration and Law in 2014, at York University, after obtaining degrees and certificates in Court and Tribunal Administration, Immigration Consultancy, and Law and Society from various Canadian Universities and Colleges.
Mercedeh’s career embarked at York University’s Faculty of Graduate Studies, and she later joined ventureLAB in 2011. At ventureLAB, Mercedeh’s career took a different turn as she worked closely with Entrepreneurs and startup companies to help them grow and create viable businesses. As the Director of Programs and Impact, Mercedeh helped hundreds of entrepreneurs and startups navigate the startup ecosystem in Ontario to receive mentorship and funding from the provincial and federal government, as well as private investors.
Mercedeh left ventureLAB in 2018 as she accepted a position at the House of Commons, as a Member of Parliament Office Manager and Senior Assistant, at which she continued working with small businesses to receive funding from the Federal Government.
At Exilex, Mercedeh is determined to help businesses and entrepreneurs to take the right path towards success; from international talent acquisition to business strategy and scaling.
Mercedeh enjoys spending time with her Daughter and cat, listening to Classical and Rock music, and dining out, especially for burgers and steaks!
